Himax Motors is advancing its mission to bring brushless motor manufacturing to the United States, strengthening the domestic industrial base for defense, security, and allied applications. This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring secure supply chains, reducing reliance on overseas production, and reinforcing America’s leadership in advanced propulsion technologies.

Currently, Himax Motors is building a new production facility in Columbus, Ohio, where the motor assembly line is being established to fully meet NDAA compliance standards. From the ground up, this facility is designed to align with U.S. defense requirements, ensuring that every stage of production adheres to the highest levels of quality, traceability, and security.

Assembly operations are scheduled to begin in late 2025, initially utilizing a mix of global components while progressively transitioning to domestically sourced parts. Our long-term vision is to deliver fully American-made brushless motors, designed and manufactured to the highest performance and compliance standards.
